Anywho, this Christmas was quite a with of fun. Lots of changes going on. Some good, some sad. I got a paper-shredder and a thingy that plugs in the wall to deter bugs... if that works, it'll be awesome. I also now have a way to deal with all the junk mail I get. My sister gave me The Ultimate Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy... which she promptly revoked after realizing I was reading the exact same book on her couch already. Oops! That shall be re-gifted. I got some shear thingys that look like they could cut cardboard like butter... and some assorted nuts. My bro gave me spices to make guacamole and salsa.
That was most of the gifting... lessee... my rents also got me a carjack, to replace the one that was stolen from my trunk this summer. I shall keep this one in my closet.
So changes... my sister, bro-in-law and nephew are moving to Alabama. That is sad, though I'm glad they will have a stable job again.
My bro... I am worried about. They are trying to adopt, and I don't know if it will work out. My bro is passionate about it, but I don't think his wife gives a rats ass about the kids... or maybe people in general. I continue to dis-like her more and more. She's pregnant with another one, but that is no excuse for her general bitchy behavior. After my bro and I had hung out and taken care of the kids most of the day, she gets home from work and yells at him that the living room was a mess and that she wasn't his "maid." She also tried to wash the salt off their car by hand before going to a family party cause the salt crud was "just embarrassing." Someone needs to realize there are things far more embarrassing, like her ugly attitude. Ugh. Also, the living room wasn't all that dirty... the kids were playing and there were some cars out. Not like they had trashed the place or pulled every toy out.
/RANT.
So there, I'm worried about my bro and his marriage. I'm worried about the little girl. We had a sermon at church this sunday about wives being submissive to their husbands / husbands doing their bit in Collosians. It was about how we misinterpret "submission" and other parts of those verses. Some very powerful stuff. Maybe I'll make a separate blog post about that some time.
The pastor also announced that we'd be disbanding the church soon, which is sad news... but I think its necessary. We've been trying so hard to revive our church to where it was 2-3 years ago, that its like we've been trying to live up to our own shadow. Despite (slightly) changing our name and greatly changing out vision, people still see us as the same church and still have the same ugly images in their minds. So I think a complete re-birth will be necessary to move forward like we all want to.

A long time ago yesterday, in the shady sun, on a soft rock, sat a young grandma and saying nothing she exclaimed: "I'm a childless widdow with three sons"
